About Us

We started our retail store as Shawnee Hills Bakery, at 9210 Dublin Road.  Twelve  years ago we purchased the Dublin Cake Cottage, a small cottage industry business located just north of Shawnee Hills.  The owner, Ann Zanon, was relocating to Virginia and approached Carol about the sale. “I bought the business for the wedding cake expertise,” she said, “but if I had tasted Ann’s butter cream icing first, I would have bought it just for that recipe.   It is that recipe, combined with the formulas for Shawnee Hills Bakery’s signature cakes that have made the mother-daughter team unbeatable in the custom cake business.
